Terraprova
("The Proving Ground") was formed in May 2001 by professionals
who each have 15+ years experience in computer systems architecture,
application development, and performance analysis and engineering.
Mark
Monaghan _______________________
Mark has
more than 20 years experience working with operating systems such as Solaris
and HP-UX, middleware, and databases, and has focused on the performance
characteristics of software and systems. He has developed performance
testing environments for clients that required a thorough evaluation of
their application architectures, and has worked extensively with Unix
based multiprocessing systems, Oracle, Informix, Tuxedo, and Java based
application servers. Mark has extensive experience with workload management
tools and test drivers, and has been a leader in designing and developing
performance test platforms that map closely to clients' production business
systems. Mark has developed performance test systems for clients such
as US West/Qwest, McKesson, Telecom Italia, CSX, First USA, and Canada
Trust.
Mark studied
at Penn State University.

Kelly has
more than 15 years of experience in performance engineering and analysis.
During that time he has focused on large Unix systems running Solaris, AIX
and HP-UX, distributed
applications with Tuxedo, Oracle, system and database cluster technology,
and Java based application servers. He has worked with clients
such as the U.S. Treasury Department, Qwest, E*Trade, Daiwa Securities,
Fidelity Investments, Critical Path, and Charles Schwab, in order to help
them build performance test environments and optimize the scalability, reliability and performance of their applications.
Kelly has
a B.S. Degree in Computer Science from West Virginia Wesleyan College.

Ray
has more than 20 years industry experience with parallel processing
systems running Solaris, AIX and HP-UX, and databases with a focus
on large DSS and data warehouse
applications. He has worked with clients such as Heileman Brewing,
Hyundai Electronics, State of California, Visa USA, American
Stores and Critical Path, to optimize their relational database implementations with
Oracle and Informix on a variety of multiprocessing architectures.
While with Informix's Advanced Technology Group, he worked closely
with their database engineering organization on the performance
characteristics of a number of advanced decision support features
such as new join algorithms, data skew optimizations, and indexing
techniques.
Ray
has B.A. Degree in Philosophy from Georgetown University.
